NPLB enables wounded, injured, and ill veterans to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities: however, it goes much further than what you see on the surface. This program helps veterans regain confidence in themselves. It fosters lifelong friendships and allows veterans an opportunity to give back through its unique mentor program. I am very proud to be one of the many veterans who have benefited from NPLB.
Adam Kisielewski - Sgt/USMC/Ret
While at Walter Reed Medical Center and when I retired NPLB (Operation Second Chance) have been a vital part of my recovery getting me out of the hospital and sending me hunting in some of the most beautiful places in the US. I owe a great deal of gratitude and thanks to all the volunteers and people behind the scenes making me feel like I was family no matter where I was. Without you I wouldn't be the man I am today. Thank you for helping me heal.
Sam Shockley - Army SSG
NPLB was the roadmap back to myself - after unfortunate events I lost myself, for me the woods was my journey home NPLB led me there.
